Volunteers shall be required to access projects, provide advice on communication strategies and legal issues, evaluate software solutions, etc.
The volunteer shall be required to provide teaching service to school children from kindergarten through High School in all subject areas.
Cradle of Hope for Relief and Development (CHRAD) is in partnership with institutions at the settlement on which behalf its recruit volunteers to offer them services. At the Buduburam Refugee Settlement, there are more than 20 schools serving an estimated 11,000 refugees from Liberia. All the schools are very much willing to accept volunteers. This means that we are expected to recruit as much as 50 volunteers to meet the demand for volunteers’ service by these institutions.
School days run from Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. The schedule is however flexible for volunteers such that they will be needed at post (except otherwise decided by themselves) only at their scheduled time. The volunteer shall be expected to spend two (2) to five (5) hours daily at the post. Arrangements are made for part-time volunteers to visit at least once weekly.
